How to Make Sweet Potato Pie with Pecan Topping Recipe

I’ve had so many friends rave about sweet potato pie that when I found a recipe for one in Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food magazine I just had to try it. Given that I completely botched the first pie crust (forgot to chill it before baking it -grrr) and many steps require chilling this or that for an hour, the whole production took a lot longer than I thought it would. Was it worth it? Yes!
